  • Compatible with blue light or UV gel docs
  • Low environmental impact without the need for specialized waste management
  • Ready-to-use format (supplied in loading buffer)

Description

CelGel ready DNA stain enables visualization of nucleic acids bands on blue light- or UV gel documentation systems. It is supplied in 6x loading buffer and is added to DNA/RNA samples (or DNA molecular weight markers) prior to loading onto agarose gels for electrophoretic analysis.  The non-mutagenic fluorescent intercalating dye allows visualization of as little as 0.14ng DNA, although at least 50ng DNA is recommended for routine analysis (avoiding a visible shift in the migration pattern).  DNA migration can be tracked during electrophoresis using the three dyes Bromophenol Blue, Xylene Cyanol FF, and Orange G.  As a non-hazardous agent, intercalating into double stranded DNA (dsDNA), single stranded DNA (ssDNA) and RNA, it is the ideal alternative to Ethidium Bromide.
